Gustavus Adolphus College junior mathematics major Eric Hanson ’16 is the recipient of a 2015 Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship, the premier undergraduate award for students pursuing careers in the fields of mathematics, the natural sciences, and engineering.
Jean-Paul Noel ’12 Receives NSF Graduate Research Fellowship
Gustavus Adolphus College alumnus Jean-Paul Noel ’12 is the recipient of a 2015 National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF). The fellowship will support Noel’s research through the Neuroscience Graduate Program at Vanderbilt University.
Pre-Dental Students Thriving at Gustavus
Kyle Hunt ’10 earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Gustavus, completed dental school at the University of Illinois-Chicago, and has now started his career as a dentist at Personal Care Dentistry in Roseville. He is part of a growing list of Gustavus alumni who have taken advantage of one of the College’s pre-professional tracks—in this case the College’s pre-dental program.

Andrew Lilja ’13: Pursuing Master’s Degree in Human-Computer Interaction
Gustavus Adolphus College alumnus Andrew Lilja is pursuing his master’s degree in human-computer interaction at Iowa State University. Lilja’s research focuses on the differences between decision making in novices and experts, and how technology can be used to improve the decision making of novices.
Research Project Takes Students and Professor to France
Gustavus students spend a lot of time conducting research in the laboratories of the Nobel Hall of Science, but many students also have a chance to conduct research away from campus. Tane Danger '07 founded the LineUs Improv Comedy Troupe at Gustavus and went on to co-found The Theater of Public Policy with fellow alumnus Brandon Boat '08. More recently, Danger has been named one of 24 Bush Fellows for 2014.
