Alumna Helps to Rebuild Lutheran Church in Estonia

Miriam Lagus ’61 spent more than a dozen years working to raise funds to restore St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Martna, Estonia, a parish her father served in. Inspired to help others by the community and spirit present during her time at Gustavus, her family, and God’s grace, she was able to raise nearly $90,000 to make repairs to this church half a world away.

Community Service is a Staple for Gustavus Greeks

Gustavus Adolphus College is home to a number of fraternities and sororities that are devoted to aiding and improving the St. Peter community and raising money for charities. Gustavus Greeks are responsible for a number of annual events on campus that raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research, diabetes, and world hunger just to name a few.
