Students Raise Awareness of Homelessness

With uneasy feelings, yet adventurous hearts, members of professor Richard Leitch’s First Term Seminar class, called Politics of Homelessness, along with other students at Gustavus Adolphus College, packed up their necessities and said goodbye to their cell phones, laptops, and personal hygiene.

Vince Thomas Named a WCCO Radio ‘Good Neighbor’

Vince Thomas, Internship Director in Gustavus Adolphus College’s Center for Servant Leadership, is the recipient of WCCO Radio’s Good Neighbor Award for his volunteer work at Minneapolis South High School. Thomas turned in more than 100 volunteer hours during the 2010-11 school year, assisting South High students with college admission and scholarship applications.
